Donor Network of Arizona mobile app registers data for 1,051 organ donors in just 4 days

At the Pat Tillman Foundation’s Pat’s Run 2014 in Tempe, Arizona, the Donor Network of Arizona put its Swipe to Donate Life mobile app to good use. Staff and volunteers were able to capture information from organ donor’s drivers licenses in just seconds by reading the barcode or magnetic stripe instead of using paper. As a result, they successfully captured information from 1,051 organ donors resulting in 315 new organ donors and 736 confirmations/reaffirmations. All in just 4 days!
